Tara Mergener, a veteran broadcast journalist whose resume includes more than a decade of experience as a network correspondent, recently joined KWTX in Waco, Texas as co-anchor. During her previous tenure as a correspondent for more than 200 local CBS affiliates, Tara has covered the White House, Congress and the U.S. State Department, reporting on presidential campaigns, midterm elections, the crisis in Syria, and the Affordable Care Act.
As a live correspondent for CNN Headline News, CNN International and more than 900 CNN affiliates, she provided extensive political and breaking news coverage.
