“Learning is the beginning of wealth. Learning is the beginning of health. Learning is the beginning of spirituality. Searching and learning is where the miracle process all begins.” - Jim Rohn

I’m not sure where I’d be without a trusted team of spiritual teachers and spirit guides.

I don’t consider myself religious, but my spirituality is very important to me. It is my compass as I move through the world.

On this episode of Get Gutsy, I share what I’ve learned from some of my favorite spiritual teachers like Rob Bell, Gabby Bernstein, Joel Osteen and my yoga teachers. I also talk about spirit guides and how you can call them into your life right now to help you navigate the road ahead.

I have a number of SPIRIT GUIDES in my life. These guides help me every single day. I call them in. I accept their help. I trust that I am NOT alone.

And neither are you.

Call them in. Call in your guides by name.

They are ready to help you advance your mission + spread your message.

Excited to hear what you think of this one. Hit me up in my FB group (join at http://GutsyGalaxy.com) or on Instagram - @jennyfenig - and tell me!

“Spirituality can release blocks, lead you to ideas, and make your life artful. Sometimes when we pray for guidance, we're guided in unexpected directions. We may want a lofty answer and we get the intuition to clean our bedroom. It can seem so humble and picky and that you don't necessarily think of it spiritual guidance.” - Julia Cameron

Enjoy!

This episode was a long time coming, girl. I just KNEW I needed to deliver this one up to you because most female entrepreneurs at the earlier stages of business SUCK at developing systems in their business.

Namely a project management system.

Be honest: are you communicating with your team about projects over email? Do emails get lost or accidentally deleted? Deadlines get missed?

If you don’t yet have a team, do you often sit down at your desk and not fully grasp what your priorities are that day to grow your business? So you spin your wheels and waste time scrolling Facebook instead of getting down to business?

On this episode of Get Gutsy, I give it to you straight on why you MUST develop a systems mindset in your business. And I reveal the tool that I’ve used in my business for the last several years that literally SAVED my ass and sanity.

Without this tool, I’m not sure I’d still be running my business … as my business was slowly crushing my soul before I saw the light. Now, I sleep soundly at night knowing that all projects are being tended to and no important communications or tasks are getting missed.

Bliss. I tell you, bliss!

Excited to hear what you think of this one. Hit me up in my FB group (join at http://GutsyGalaxy.com) or on Instagram - @jennyfenig - and tell me!

“There will be a mechanical adjustment in the way you see your world. When this profound shift occurs, systems methodology will make irrefutable sense, and your work and life will never be the same.” - Sam Carpenter

Are you struggling to find clarity or abundance in your life? Have things turned out differently than you had expected? Well don’t worry because you’re not alone.

In today’s episode of Get Gutsy, Jen Hansard, Co-Founder of Simple Green Smoothies, shares how she turned things around for her family by taking action, trusting herself, and talking things out with God.

Jen brings an energetic dose of awesomeness and touches on topics like boosting your immune system, partnership agreements, building a strong brand in a competitive market, and so much more. Jen teaches you that no matter where you come from, you can do incredible things if you have the heart, passion, and hustle to keep moving forward.

I am SO psyched to share this episode with you as green smoothies have changed my life and made me stronger, healthier and more energetic. And it was Jen and her business partner Jadah Seller who showed me the way when I met them at Camp GLP a few summers ago and was inspired to sign up for their 30-Day Green Smoothie Challenge.

What you put into your body has a HUGE impact on how you show up in the world. You are NOT going to want to miss this episode of Get Gutsy (even if kale or spinach freaks you out). Simple Green Smoothies has become a massively successful company. It’s led by 2 moms who care about helping you feel better in your body.

About Our Guest

Jen Hansard is the Cofounder + Creative Director of SimpleGreenSmoothies.com and co-author of the amazing book "Simple Green Smoothies: 100+ Tasty Recipes to Lose Weight, Gain Energy, and Feel Great in Your Body." Jen wasn't always a healthy food loving gal. In fact, she used to force herself to buy a bag of spinach because “it was healthy” and then watch it go bad in the fridge before she even opened it. She felt neurotic! She really wanted to eat better… but it wasn’t easy for her to down a salad as she just never liked the taste of them. Then her friend and now business partner Jadah Sellner told her about green smoothies and she has been hooked ever since.

Highlights of this episode:

  • Jen shares her story of how she quit her job at an ad agency, opened up her own design studio, and began a love affair with green smoothies
  • Green smoothies are the gateway drug to a healthier life
  • Are you guilty of letting your spinach go bad? (And what to do about it!)
  • Why children will open up your world to wonderous things
  • Building a strong immune system for you and your kids
  • The importance of creating a business partnership contract
  • Taking what you love and sharing it with the world
  • Keeping things simple and accessible for your audience
  • How Jen gained thousands of followers in just a few months
  • Pushing through the challenges and following your curiosity
  • How to build a strong brand and stand out in a crowded market
  • Praying for clarity when you hit a fork in the road
  • How to keep moving forward even when the path is unclear
  • Say yes to your own adventure!
  • Building a business that changes lives
  • Serve right where you are
  • Create a blockbuster brand by looking at leaders OUTSIDE of your industry
  • The journey of publishing her first book with her business partner Jadah Sellner
  • Don’t put your ideas in a box, put your ideas in a blender instead
  • If a door is closed, climb through a window instead

“I try to keep it real. I don't have time to worry about what I'm projecting to the world. I'm just busy being myself.” - Demi Lovato

Worrying about what others think of you is one of the biggest obstacles holding you back in your business.

Do you worry about being too “out there” with your work?

Are you afraid to post things on social media?

Are you scared to email your list too much or when you’re running a promotion?

Do you feel sad when people opt out?

Do you want to create a new offering but live in your fears too much and are paralyzed from moving forward?

Do critics slay you?

On this episode of Get Gutsy, I give it to you straight on why you can NOT worry about what the entire world thinks about you as you take your work to the next level. I also share some personal stories of how I navigate this tricky - yet mission-critical - terrain.

Enjoy!

“It is not the end of the physical body that should worry us. Rather, our concern must be to live while we're alive - to release our inner selves from the spiritual death that comes with living behind a facade designed to conform to external definitions of who and what we are.” - Elisabeth Kubler-Ross

“All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson

A key element of spiritual business leadership is MAKING EXPERIMENTS. You MUST be willing to TRY NEW THINGS, take RISKS and PUT YOURSELF OUT THERE.

You’ll never be able to reach your full potential if you aren’t in regular practice of EXPERIMENTATION.

Follow your curiosity and see what happens. A new world could very well open up for you and your work. Your results will accelerate and you’ll reach a new level of success.

Ready to dive in?

On this episode of Get Gutsy, I share a simple step-by-step process that will help you run an experiment starting today AND how you can use your results to help your tribe and grow your business. I’m pumped to see what you try and where your experiment takes you.

“I am my own experiment. I am my own work of art.” - Madonna

opt out = to choose not to participate in something

Do you go along with everything? Suffer from FOMO (fear of missing out)? Ignore your own truth to avoid rocking the boat?

It’s time you take a stand and OPT OUT of that line of thinking, being and having.

In this episode of Get Gutsy, I share a personal story of how I OPTED OUT of something I loved to bring more SPACIOUSNESS in my life. I also share how I too am tempted by FOMO and how I recently sidestepped joining something that simply wasn’t for me.

Do you feel like what you have is never enough? Have you yet to uncover what you truly desire deep down inside?

Prepare to be inspired! Alexis Neely joins us on this episode of Get Gutsy for one of our most energetic, powerful, and insightful interviews to date. Alexis takes us on her journey from working at a law firm, to becoming a multimillion-dollar entrepreneur. During this interview you’ll learn how to listen to that voice within and discover who you truly are, so you can create the reality you really want.

About Our Guest

Alexis Neely (artist name: Ali Shanti) is a bridge between the generations, a catalyst for new ways of thinking, a paradigm-shifter, lawyer, mom, author and permission giver who is bringing forward radically new and much needed perspectives on how we make decisions about money, time, work, relationships, parenting and business.

She graduated first in her class from Georgetown University Law Center (primarily because they don't count any rankings at Georgetown other than #1 and in her earlier years she was very driven by the need to prove herself) and went on to work as an associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson, one of the best law firms in the country. After three years there, with two children under the age of 4 and a stay at home husband, she left the security of the big law firm and started her own law practice.

Within just three years, Alexis had built that law practice into a million dollar a year revenue generating law business by inventing a new law business model, which she now teaches to lawyers worldwide.

In addition, Alexis has created a system that guides people to a new relationship with time, money and how they get paid so we can stop putting off our lives until we have financial freedom and step into financial liberation and personal sovereignty now.

As a successful serial entrepreneur, Alexis has built four million dollar plus companies and a couple of 6-figure companies as well. Today, she supports others to do the same.

Finally, Alexis is on a personal mission to utilize her formal training and deep experience as an estate planning lawyer, her life and heart path as a Mother, and her soul path as a High Priestess to heal the inter-generational divide that has resulted from poor communication and understanding of money in families.

In This Episode, You Will Learn:

Do you ever feel that you’re all alone in your business? Do you have the sacred support system you need to create the life that you want?

In this episode of Get Gutsy, Sarah Jenks, founder of Live More Weigh Less™, helps you realize that you are NOT alone in your quest. Sarah talks about motherhood, finding work-life balance, creating support systems, and the importance of loving your body. You’ll also learn to overcome the things that are holding you back, so you can rise to the occasion and take charge of your world.

You’re going to get SO much from the episode. I’ve been admiring Sarah’s work for many years and I’m pumped to be able to share her message with you today. Dive in!

About Our Guest

As a full figured woman who struggled with her weight for years, Sarah Jenks finally found the key that all diets were missing. After bouncing between fad diets and struggling with her body image, Sarah realized she had been “waiting on the weight” – waiting to be thin before she: got the great job, the great wardrobe or the great relationship.

When Sarah stopped waiting on the weight, she finally did all the things that she had put on hold for years: going for her ideal job, flirting with her dream guy, going out dancing and living a fully engaged life. In her words, the late night “pity snacking” ceased with all the joy and activity this new lifestyle brought, and she naturally moved to her ideal body.

Sarah’s success in creating a happy lifestyle, which also resulted in a dramatic weight loss, is what led her to create Live More Weigh Less™, now the most popular non-diet weight loss program on the internet. It’s not about cutting out crème brulee, it’s about embracing the life you want, right now. Living a full, meaningful life is a great adventure; when you have adventure in your life, diving into a pint of ice cream seems less exciting.

In This Episode, You Will Learn:

  • How to create a support system for entrepreneurship
  • Making changes to afford the things you want
  • Why you have the opportunity to create your own destiny
  • Everything is doable, it’s just a matter of strategy and time
  • What Sarah did when she realized that working for someone else wasn’t her jam
  • Sarah’s journey to live more, weigh less, and feel amazing about her body
  • The importance of taking on side jobs to keep you afloat
  • If you work hard enough and you believe it will work, you can make it happen
  • The ups and downs to creating online programs
  • How to rise to the occasion as an entrepreneurial leader
  • Why you are not alone
  • Finding time to pray more frequently
  • Building a relationship between your business and life
  • How to create balance between motherhood and work
  • How to find beauty and ease even when life is hard
  • Why Sarah stopped claiming weight loss as her message
  • How to remove the shackles that are holding you back
  • How to simplify your business and find personal growth and fulfillment

Enjoy!

“If you don't think your anxiety, depression, sadness and stress impact your physical health, think again. All of these emotions trigger chemical reactions in your body, which can lead to inflammation and a weakened immune system. Learn how to cope, sweet friend. There will always be dark days.” - Kris Carr

Anxiety is the most common mental illness in the country, with 1 in 7 Americans suffering from some form of anxiety, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.

What do you get ANXIOUS about?

How does ANXIETY show up in your body?

How do you MOVE THROUGH it?

These are the questions we’re exploring on this episode of Get Gutsy. You’ll hear some of the responses I received from members of our amazing tribe the Get Gutsy Galaxy when I asked them to tell me about their experience with anxiety.

“Nothing in the affairs of men is worthy of great anxiety.” - Plato

It’s by shining a light on what we’re afraid of that those fears become less intense in our minds. And it becomes a lot easier to walk in faith.

“Anxiety does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows, but only empties today of its strength.” - Charles Spurgeon

“I have worked with some of the meanest people in the world. You can't do anything to intimidate me.” - Amy Adams

Why is it that certain people, places and things intimidate you? Have you ever really stopped to think about this before? And have you truly thought about how the feeling of intimidation stops you from taking action to move your business forward?

Well, that’s exactly what we’re doing on this episode of Get Gutsy. This episode was inspired by the mastermind retreat I led this week for my 12 clients in GLOW. The concept of intimidation came up and we really went deep here to discover the root cause.

“My father's songs don't intimidate me; my father's songs are my songs. My songs are his songs. There's no intimidation.” - Ziggy Marley

It’s when you realize the triggers of intimidation that you free yourself. You realize it’s all in your head and you get to decide to step forward even when you’re scared. Join forces with fellow listeners for a juicy assignment that will shift your world for the better, and allow you to go further, faster.

“I don't intimidate anyone. Instead, I try to get people to believe in themselves.” - Bob Ross

“Fear keeps us focused on the past or worried about the future. If we can acknowledge our fear, we can realize that right now we are okay. Right now, today, we are still alive, and our bodies are working marvelously. Our eyes can still see the beautiful sky. Our ears can still hear the voices of our loved ones.” - Thich Nhat Hanh

One of the biggest obstacles standing in your way of fulfilling your destiny in your spiritual business is letting FEAR stop you from making a move.

I’ve got news for you: Fear can be your FRIEND as long as you don’t let it rule you.

In this episode of Get Gutsy, I give it to you straight about this funny little thing called fear. Remember - the only way out is THROUGH.

“I think fearless is having fears but jumping anyway.” - Taylor Swift
