I was introduced to Pratima Aravabhoomi’s work when I received a gift in the mail (in the actual mail, not email - there’s a difference!) from her company Craft Street Design.
It was a piece of wall art with a quote by Francis of Assissi.
The quote >>
“Start by doing what’s necessary. Then do what’s possible. Suddenly you’re doing the impossible.”
I’m pumped to share my chat with Pratima with you.
Not only do we dive into how Pratima launched her business, we explore her childhood in India, her move to the American South and arranged marriage, her taboo divorce, not fitting in at Apple, and so much more!
Other hot topics we dive into:
In today’s distracted, high-tech world, I love to stay grounded by touching “real things” and Pratima’s work really speaks to me. Spend a little time getting present with us. I know you will be inspired.

Can a book really change your life?
This episode will have you believing YES.
You can imagine my delight when I learned that my book “Get Gutsy” played a big role in Erica Gellerman’s gutsy move to release her “successful” corporate executive life (Procter & Gamble and Amazon to be specific!) to embrace entrepreneurship.
Erica had a panic attack one day during work and simply knew something had to give. Her life was at stake.
She literally read my book on a plane as she was contemplating what the heck she was doing with her life.
Her question she pondered >> “What do I want?”
With an MBA from Duke and lots of student loans to boot, she had her back against the wall to figure out what move she’d make next.
Her story will floor you.
It’s about worth, women, meaningful careers, making money, and what she learned from playing on the boys’ water polo team in high school (as the only girl).
And you’ll flip when you hear her story about landing her first client in London, the wife of a Royal! It’s hilarious and oh, so bold (a potent combo).

I’ve known Nathalie Lussier for several years. I followed her online for a bit, then eventually got to know her in a group where we were both members.
What I’ve felt about her from the beginning >> she’s SMART. Super smart.
And she’s also very gutsy. She bets on herself and has been doing this from the beginning of her career when she declined a job offer from Wall Street straight out of college to start her own business instead.
It’s been quite an evolution and ride for her in business. And we go DEEP on this episode because ya’ll know that’s how we roll on Get Gutsy.
Some sparkly gems you’re going to love:
